Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. At the age five she relocated from London to Oxfordshire where she attended The Dragon School. Emma decided to be an actor at age six. Over the course of several years, she attended the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. There she learned singing, dancing and acting. As early as age ten, she took part as the lead in several Stagecoach School plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 version to J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book was released in 1999. Emma was discovered by agents via the recommendation of her Oxford teacher. Emma's film debut was made with the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). The film was also the most successful film of 2001.
