John Denver is a popular musician and singer who has touched a lot of people with his songs. Many of these are based on Colorado. Born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, he was in the love of Colorado and then moved to Aspen. Denver's anthems of fame about Colorado are a source of inspiration for many to relocate to Colorado. G. Brown the curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame declared that John Denver was by far one of the top performers who embodies Colorado. Denver was the Hall of Fames' initial inductee, was honoured with this honor in 2011. He has become the personification of Colorado to the people all over. On my trips I've had the pleasure of meeting people who are from New Zealand or the other side. When you tell them you're from Colorado the first words they say are Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads - cowritten with Bill Danoff - was Denver's first Top 10 single as a solo singer after a brief time in small folk groups. Danoff wrote the tune in the spirit of Johnny Cash, but Denver could hear an early version and knew the song would be a top 10 hit. The song was recorded within a couple of days of having performed on stage in Washington D.C. before an audience that was very enthusiastic.
