Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney (born Amal Ramzi alamuddin) is a Lebanese/British lawyer, human rights activist and charitable philanthropist. A graduate of Oxford University School of Law and New York University School of Law is recognized internationally for her career and achievements in the areas of international human rights law. Some of her most prominent clients include numerous nation states, including the state of Armenia in its fight to be recognized as the Armenian Genocide by the Turkish government. Amal Clooney was engaged and was later was married with American actor George Clooney, instantly making her famous in pop culture. Prior to that, the actress had been known for her success in representing her clients before courts and was well-known. The range of her activities range from the tackling of social justice and human rights problems to representing multinational corporations during negotiation and court cases regarding government regulation. From 2015 onwards, she was a barrister at British court at Doughty Street Chambers.
